At the AGM, deacons are prayerfully elected from and by Church members to serve the church for a period three years, after which they may make themselves available to be nominated again for re-election.
Rev’d Edward Ibberson joined CCBC as an additional Minister in September 2007, with prime responsibility for Young People and Young Adults and Community involvement. Edward obtained a degree in Marine Biology at Newcastle before training for the Baptist Ministry at Spurgeon’s College, London, being appointed Minister of Friar Lane & Braunstone Baptist Church in September 1999.
Paul Crouch was appointed Cornerstone Church’s Director of Children’s Ministry in September 2004. In this role he provides a valued resource to all the Cornerstone Churches. A qualified teacher he has a wealth of experience making Jesus know to kids from his involvement with many Junior schools in Kent, Spring Harvest. He has written and recorded Christian children’s songs.
Helen Brackenbury, a long standing member of CCBC, spent many years in Papua New Guinea as a gifted Bible teacher and translating the scriptures in to Gogadala. She was awarded a Member of the British Empire (MBE) for her services there. Since returning to the UK in the early 1990’s Helen has been our Pastoral Worker.

Rev’d Philip Deller was appointed Senior Minister at CCBC in September 2007. Trained at Spurgeon’s College, London, Philip had served three years as Associate Minister at Leigh-on-Sea Baptist Church when was called to become the Minister at CCBC in May 1996.

Working together to serve and lead the church
The Leadership Team is comprised of the Ministers, the Deacons, and the Pastoral Worker, who are responsible to the Church Vision Meeting for the spiritual leadership, oversight and administration of the Church and the pastoral care of its members.
It meets regularly to seek God’s direction for the life of the Church in the context of worship and prayer.
It is supported by the Care Team, Homegroup and small group leaders, Reaching the Nations Co-coordinator, Junior Church leaders, the Worship teams, and many, many others.

Duncan Akehurst is working part time for CCBC during his gap year from September 2008, having obtained a degree in Theology at Durham. Duncan is working with Edward amongst young people including involvement with pupils at Chipping Campden School.
