Philia Women is an initiative which seeks to draw together Christian women from different denominational backgrounds in the North Cotswolds.

The word 'philia' comes from the ancient Greek and is used to describe the love shared between friends. It is our desire that through this ministry, women can meet together in friendship, fellowship and faith, and let God speak into their lives afresh with words which strengthen, encourage and empower.

Philia Conference Saturday 28th January 2012 with Speaker Rachel Hickson

Rachel heads up Heartcry Ministries along with her husband Gordon and they live in Oxford. She worked with Reinhard Bonke in Zimbabwe and now travels internationally speaking to bring about transformation of Churches and cities through the power of prayer and evangelism.

Our last event was hosted by Stour Valley Baptist Church at Shipston High School on Tuesday 17th May.

We heard from Celia Bowring (from CARE in London) as she encouraged more than 160 women to move forward for God.  An enjoyable evening with great fellowship, prayer, praise and wonderful puddings!
