I’ve been a Christian most of my life and my faith has always been very important to me and central to who I am, but when it came to being baptised I found that I had a big problem with doing it.  I became frightened and used to shiver and shake whenever I saw someone being baptised.  There was something deep inside of me holding me back from making this very public commitment.

Over the summer I went to a youth camp called Lee Abbey.  There I spoke to my friend Rich about my situation.  He was worried about me and said that I could have something inside me like a demon.  Rich decided to pray.  He placed his hand on me and started to pray.  Immediately the Holy Spirit came upon me and I fell to the floor, crying and shaking.  I had a vision of a dove pouring the Holy Spirit over me,

I felt something being released from inside and Jesus spoke to me about my future.

When I opened my eyes I saw three birds circling around me overhead and this was a picture for me of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – It was awesome!!!  

I then couldn’t wait to get baptised.

It shows just how amazing and powerful Jesus is, I can’t express how grateful I am for what he has done,

I was going to get baptised in the sea which we were over looking, but fortunately I was not allowed, so I came back to do it before the Church, my friends and family.

Through that experience Jesus has changed the way I look and think about the world.

Lastly I want to thank God mostly, but also Rich for helping me come to this new stage in my forever changing life.
